Effective 1/1/23, the limits for the amounts for civil cases will be increasing from $30,000 to $50,000

County Civil limits are increasing to $50,000 on January 1, 2023Effective January 1, 2023, the limits for the amounts involved in disputes for civil cases will be increasing from $30,000 to $50,000. This change will not affect other previously implemented changes. There will be no change to fees, the $8,000 small claims limit established in 2020 will remain the same, and civil cover sheets will still be required when declaring how much money is at stake in disputes exceeding $8,000.
